These are relatively large caddisflies as free-living forms.  They are recognizable by their dark green "shoulders" and bright green body.  The pupal form is similar in color.  They are found in quick moving currents of shallow streams.  Pupation occurs within a silken shelter that is wrapped in an oval shape of anchoring pebbles.
