5/8ths to 3/4". Large size can attract big trout.
Often found under the stones in moderate to
rapid current. Like stoneflies, migrate to
shallow water just prior to emergence, but split
their nymphal skin in the surface film (rather
than crawling out of the water.) Popular name
also used for members of Ephemera family.
