sizes: #14 - 22

Frequently-found diminutive fly that is often effective when things get tough.  Mimics a number of different underwater immature insect life forms.  Not a stream pattern, just stillwater.  Different shades and sizes necessary.

"Brown Caddis"
species: caddis adults
 type: dry

sizes: #10 - 18

Another "tried & true" fly to fish dry where a variety of adult caddis are on the water.  Because caddis do not "dwell" on the water's surface, this fly is often fished by imparting some "action" to it.

Fish: trout, panfish

"Brown Crab"

Imitates sand crab.  Designed to ride with the hook point up.  Should be available in a number of different colors and pattern styles.

"Brown Stonefly"
species: stonefly
 type: nymph

sizes: #2 - 10

A relatively large stonefly pattern used primarily on large western rivers to simulate immature stoneflies.  Stoneflies crawl out of the water to hatch.  Therefore, nymphs should be fished on the bottom.

Fish: trout, panfish
