This species make up the most numerous
on major western rivers.  Often mistakenly called
"helgrammites".  Up to 2".  3 year life cycle.  Hatch
late April to early summer.  Occupy swift rivers at
moderate altitudes.  Chocolate brown with deep
orange leg joints & underbody.
