There are about 25,000 species of fish "on the books." 200-300 additional species are continuing to be described each year.

This section contains our library of maps showing the geographic range of various species of fish. These distribution maps are "generic" in that they show the broad range of a particular species. They are not meant to be specific down to a particular body of water.
